The Importance of Forgiveness
Forgiveness is one of the hallmarks of Christianity, one of the behaviors that most clearly demonstrates our connection to Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians chapter two, the Apostle Paul needed to remind the Corinthians to forgive and restore a repentant member of their church--- for the glory of Christ and the good of the church. Here in this section of Scripture we find some of the most important and explicit reasons why forgiveness in the church is so essential. Why is forgiveness in the church so important? What is the biblical rationale for practicing forgiveness-- as a church family--- and as individual Christians?
