Principles for Good Gleaning
Just like Ruth spent many days gleaning life-sustaining grain in the fields of Boaz, so every Christian is spiritually "gleaning" in God's rich field of the Scriptures---- a field that is filled with life-giving doctrines, truths, and promises. It is that field which gives us the spiritual nourishment we need for spiritual life and growth. As we look to Ruth as an example of the believer-- and use her gleaning as a spiritual analogy-- what are the defining marks of a good spiritual gleaner? How can you get the most from the fields of God's Word?
