One With The Father
In John 14, Philip asks Jesus to pull back the veil and give the disciples a glorious vision of the Father. "If only we could see the Father", he says, "it would be sufficient for us..." In response, Jesus makes the staggering claim that He is 'one' with the Father. As we listen to Jesus explain further, how can it be that He is 'one' with the Father? What proofs or evidences does Jesus give for this union-- and what impact does it have on our Christian lives today? Why is it encouraging news that Jesus is 'one' with the Father?
